THE LIGHT WITHIN 
Anxious, depressed, and hopeless
The journey of running away seemed endless
The moments of life so overwhelming
And searching for hearts that are helping.
Always hiding away in the corner of her room
Feared to be seen, heard, or touched
Always looking for mentors and idols
To share a piece of her thoughts.
Trying to find the tiniest beam of light
And the ways to get away from the plight
She wandered around lows and highs
A butterfly gave her a beautiful piece of advice-
The light is all within
Into the heart all beneath.
Being as and how she is, the precious sheer
And going out with no amount of fear
No one else can shine on the light
When she herself is the Queen of the spotlight.
